Ever get that feeling inside where you just want to sit around casually watching Netflix while bedazzling something? Well, I had that feeling this past weekend and thought that a constellation would be something really cute to bedazzle. Naturally I spent a few minutes looking around the house for something to add some sparkle to and boom! I found a plain black medium-sized wallet and with some imagination turned it into a super cute constellation clutch.
To make this project I used a small wallet, E6000 glue, a packet of crystals, some chalk to make an outline and a silver sharpie marker.
First, I used a piece of chalk to lightly draw the outline of the constellation. I decided to do the Leo constellation since that is my sign, but you can use any you want. I freehanded the shape just from looking at a photo online but if you aren’t confident doing that you can always print the shape out and poke holes through the stars of the paper to use as a guide.
After I had my shape outlined I glued some crystals at each corner. Then, using a silver sharpie added lines between the jewels. I then used the marker to make a few randomly spaced marker dots before going back in and gluing down a few more jewels.
This was such a carefree project to do just while hanging out, and now that plain wallet has so much more personality. I think it might just be my new go-to clutch. Makes me wonder if I should do a space-themed embroidery project next?
